Running the KnomiMobile-SampleApp

Starting the application for the first time will request access to the Camera permissions. You must accept this prompt for the KnomiMobile-SampleApp to work correctly. If access is denied, this can be changed by opening the phone Settings app and viewing the settings page for the KnomiMobile-SampleApp. Toggle the camera permission switch to enable permissions.

Before using the application it needs to be configured. Select the gear option in the upper right to go to the settings page. At the top of the settings page a user name must be entered. Select the user name option and when presented with the keyboard enter a user name and click ok.

Next one or more modalities can be selected. The three options for Face, Doument OCR, and Document RFID can be switched on/off. By default on the first run all the modalities are off. Select the the one(s) to use. At least one modality must be selected to proceed.

After the modality options there is a list of options controlling how the face is captured and processed. Please refer to the Face Capture Manual for details regarding these options.

The last option is a toggle to enable/disable sound at different points in the process. It is used an audio cue to alert the user that something has started or completed.

When the options have been specified select the back button to return to the main screen.

Data must be enrolled into the system before verification can take place. On the first run select the enroll button. A dialog is presented stating what data will be collected. Select the Begin button to initiate the data collection. For example, if face is the only selected modality the user will be directed to capture a picture of his/her face. The captured image will be processed and if acceptable, the user name and image data will be enrolled in the database.

After the collected data has been processed an overall results page is presented with an OK button at the bottom of the screen. Swiping the overall results page to the left or selecting the Details tab at the top presents capture details. The details page presents scores for liveness.

Press the OK button at the bottom of the screen.

Assuming the enroll was a success a second run can be done to perform a verification. Press the Verify button and the same collection process as was completed with enroll will be done.

After the collected has been processed the same type of overall results and details pages are presented with the OK button at the bottom of the screen.
