Running the Face Capture DemoΒΆ

On your first time running the application, it will prompt you to allow access to your cameras. You must accept this prompt for Face Capture to work correctly. If access is denied, this can be changed by going to the Application settings on your device and allowing the requested permission. Please restart the application after changing the permission from denied to accepted if this occurs.

After accepting the requested permissions, you will be brought to the home screen. The first thing to do is to go to the settings screen via the menu in the upper right-hand corner. Enter the username you want to use for logging purposes on the back-end. Set your server URL to a Face Liveness service. Upon returning to the home screen, the username should be filled in and the server status should be a green checkmark. If the server is unreachable, the server status will be a red X. In this case, please contact your IT department to ensure the server can be reached from the device.

Once connectivity has been established with the back-end, hit the Capture button and follow the prompts at the top of the screen. The prompts will direct you into an acceptable position for a capture. Once Face Capture sees you in the right place, it will take the image and end the capture session. The image will be sent off to the Face Liveness service and the results will show up on screen after a short wait. Dismissing the results will bring you back to the home screen.
